no, not done yet...

this is about a PPA for the stable version (as long as it has not made into scribus itself)

tbh, I can't understand what this bug is about... "would it possible to also have PPA packages on top of the .deb ones?" makes no sense to me, can you please be more verbose?

Yea..i'm not sure what it means either.
I'll take a stab and say perhaps it means offering 1.4.x svn builds.. But it seems that you already do at: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/scribus/1.4.6+dfsg-2
So maybe this ticket is obsolete ?

1.4.x svn ????

Anyway yeah, also from the PPA there are all the current more interesting branches.
Guess we are better waiting for ale and see if he can be more precise :)

we used to have a repository with the latest .deb, that you could add to the apt lists and get the newest release of scribus even if they were not yet in the official repositories.
in 2012, ubuntu uers already preferred to add a ppa to a scribus own repository... that's why i was asking

currently, we have a good maintnainer (thanks mattia!) and the the packages are timely added to the repositories!

and we also have a few more ppas...

so, yes, this can be closed (and will be closed)
