Summary0011590: CMYK inspection
DescriptionCMYK inspector/picker in Print Preview to show cmyk values in exported PDF.
Additional InformationGenerally it's very important to inspect output file.
While SVG import with filters is not supported, best option to import project into Scribus is PNG but we cant control CMYK values. Sometimes it's important to know CMYK values of background and make text/vectors on it with exacly the same color.

It would be also good if standard color picker could work in CMYK/PRINT mode when we get color from RGB image.

I'm not sure what this bug report is about, as it seems to address at least five different issues.

I report that CMYK inspection feature will be very helpfull. It could be done by different ways but the main goal is to check how colors in final PDF will looks like.

Good example of CMYK inspector/picker is in CMYKTool. We can move mouse over picture and read color values (in CMYK) of pixels.

The only way to check CMYK values in PDF file is now Adobe Acrobat, non free software.

Sorry for my english btw.

No need to be sorry for your English :)

As to your report:

1) The colour picker needs an update to support CMYK and spot colours, no disagreement, but there is already a feature request.

2) Scribus is no replacement for Acrobat. Would you demand the same features in InDesign or XPress? After all, this is about post-export analysis and in some cases meaningless (think of PDF/X-3).

If there is feature request about getting CMYK values (as will be in output) from RGB picture (input) by picker then it's what I need. But i didnt find any.

I dont think that Scribus will replace Acrobat. InDesign has very good integration with Illustrator and Photoshop and I usually dont need post-export analysis. Scribus have bad integration with other OSS Apps so we must work with RGB inputs and believing that everythink will be ok. My dream is to work in CMYK on Inkscape, and import this artwork into Scribus loseless but it's impossible without SVG filters implementation in Scribus.
