Summary0012673: Content of text frame at page top being mirrored on page bottom of previous page
DescriptionThe content of a text frame placed near the top of a page is being mirrored on the page bottom of the previous page. There seems to be no correlation between this behavior and the document layout parameters - for instance, the attached pdf is a document with both Margin Guides and Bleeds of 0 mm.
Steps To Reproduce1. Create a new document containing at least two pages.
2. Create a text frame at the top of page no. two.
Additional Information1. The version of Scribus installed with Ubuntu 12.04 was 1.4.0 where this bug was first noticed. I removed version 1.4.0 & installed 1.4.3 (stable) but the bug persists.

2. When I used Scribus (version 1.4.0) for the first time, the first two - three documents created did not have this bug. However, the subsequent documents had the issue.

Please upload the sla document. A pdf does not help much reproducing the issue.

Also, if OP wants quicker support it would be effective to write out a step-by-step workflow how to reproduce the issue so that the testers and developers can reproduce.

1. sla file uploaded.

2. Workflow:
(a) On Ubuntu 12.04, create a new document in Scribus (I have tried with version 1.4.1 & 1.4.3).

(b) In 'Document Settings', under 'Options' enter 2 in 'Number of pages' & click Ok.

(c) Go to page 2 of the document.

(d) Create a text frame & position it near the top of page-2. Enter any dummy text in the text frame.

(e) Click on 'Save as PDF' in the toolbar (or go to File-->Export-->Save as PDF).

(f) Open the saved PDF & scroll to page bottom of page-1.

(g) You should notice the dummy text displayed both on the bottom of page-1 & at the top of page-2 in stead of displaying only at the top of page-2.

Can't reproduce on r19492 (OSX 1.5svn) with uploaded .sla or written steps.

Question: in step (d) where am I positioning the text frame? above the bleed?

1. The text frame must be positioned within the margin but near the top.

2. I could not replicate the issue with Scribus 1.4.3 on Windows 7 - if possible please test on Ubuntu 12.04.

Can you test the bug on 1.4.5 or 1.5svn on Ubuntu 12.04 ?

Edit:
Posted request for testing on the ML.
