Summary | 0013014: PDF export creates XObject for every group on every page
Description | For every object group and every page a PDF external object (XObject) is created, even if these groups belong to other pages. The object groups of other pages are empty clip regions outside the page bounderies. For large documents this can cause the Adobe Acrobat to crash.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Create a new document. 2. Place two boxes on the blank page. 3. Group these boxes. 4. Make 9 copies of this page, so the document has 10 pages. 5. Export to PDF. The PDF output contains 10 x 10 = 100 XObjects. Doing the same with 100 pages results in 10000 XObjects!
Additional Information | I have not tested this with version 1.5.0 yet.

Thanks for reporting. I committed a fix for 1.4.6svn. 1.5.0svn doesn't require one as the group handling is different here. |
