Summary0013265: allow extended manipulation of text chains
DescriptionI think the following feature would be nice:

If I have two chained frames and want to "insert" a third frame in the middle, then I just drag the connection line between the two chained frames onto the third and it automatically is inserted in the chain.

i'm not sure that dragging the arrow is a good idea.

currently, you can already achieve what you're aiming at:
- unlink tool (u)
- click on the item after the point where you want to insert the new frame
- link the part before with the new frame
- link the new frame with the part after.

i see two slightly better interactions than what you propose (on top of leaving as is):
- just click on the arrow and then on the item to insert
- allow the chain tool (n) to be activated at the middle of the chain (and in this case add the clicked item after the previously selected item, in the middle of the chains)

personally, i fear that both interaction are prone to errors of manipulation (people who diddn't want to change the chain by adding a frame in the middle but end up with doing so).
also, i don't think that it will often happen that you have to do such an action...

personally, i'm for the status quo, even if i have to admit that it's not that easy to discover that you can just unlink and relink without losing any information.
