Summary0013294: [Feature] Refresh option to avoid closing/opening Scribus when adding new scripts to default script directory
DescriptionProblem:
Scribus doesn't display a new script added live to the designated by scpaths in other words:
"scpaths: script dir=/Users/blah/Applications/Scribus.app/Contents/share/scribus/scripts/"
Workarounds:
1) Close and then Reopen Scribus.
2) or manually open it via Scribus

Feature Request:
Have a "Refresh" Dropdown option that indexes Contents/share/scribus/scripts/ to avoid above Workarounds
Steps To Reproduce1) Open Scribus
2) Open terminal
3) cd into $scribus_installation_dir/ for me it's ~/Applications/Scribus.app/Contents/share/scribus/scripts/
4) download script in to script dir: wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/outilslibresalternatifs/scribus-scripts/master/mondrian/mondrian.py
5) Back in Scribus GUI go to Scripter > Scribus Scripts
Scribus doesn't show new script in dropdown

No, wont fix. The Scribus Scripts menu is a menu to list scripts *shipped with Scribus*. Its not for people to be adding stuff to. As it is, it already detects on startup, so that is enough.

Craig, I see. So... is there a place that a user can tell Scribus to check for community-created scripts directory? Ideally we could tell Scribus to look for scripts in a certain directory without having to tediously direct it to where that dir is via the Open dialog.

Perhaps this is 'Resource Manager' related ? Where eventually there will be a place to download 3rd party scripts from...?
