Summary0005273: Cannot calculate pdf fields correctly.
DescriptionI am trying to update a document I previously made in scribus, which is a simple requisition form. I wan't to have it automatically total amounts such, but I get weird results. Each time I open the document to work on it, I find that many of the text boxes have changed names, which throws off any calculations based on those boxes. Even after correcting these, so that all of the boxes point to each other correctly, i get a pdf form that does not calculate correctly. You can add in an amount for shipping, and the total will be deducted by some other random amount, when the properties in scribus show that it is to add everythng. These things change every time I make a change to the document, and see to do so randomly.
Steps To Reproduceopen scribus, open my .sla file, output to pdf

I guess I have two seperate thing happening. In 1.3.3.7/cvs, I get the problem with the pdf fileds getting renamed randomly and a problem where I don't get the right numbers from the calculations. IN 1.3.3.6 I don't have the problems with boxes getting renamed, but still have the problem where the calculations sometimes do not give the right numbers. It seems like when it gives me the wrong total, that if I delete the last QTY or dolar amount and reenter it, then it will give the proper total. Sometimes it does not display a problem at all with the same data.

Fixed that issue now. To fix your document you need to give all your fields a meaningful name, alt least change the automatically suppyled name to something else. Then recreate all the calculations.

I am still getting a situation where parts of the form do not update properly. If I go back and change the number of an item ordered, I get an updated total to the right, but the subtotal and grad total do not update. Also, it sometimes does not update the totals after entering a quantity and price, so that while the total to the right reads a given dollar amount, the subtotal and grand total still register zero.

This might be an issue of your Reader Application. Be sure that you have set it up correctly, Adobe Reader has some confusing options there.
