cannot reproduce it here (only czech dict installed).

Can you provide output of gdb, please? It would be great if your scribus is compiled with debugging symbols...

subik, it is very easy.. just move away all your dictionaries, and scribus will crash when pressing F7 on a text frame. then try, moving all dictionaries back apart from english ones but run a check on an en doc/frame and itll crash too.

in fact, i almost had a fix last night for this but reverted locally as i didnt htink it was very clean. i wish spellchecker had been written without exception usage.. meh.

oic, confirmed. Dunno how to fix it. It's too much raise/catched for me :/ Have to look at it with fresh eyes.

Also do you plan to switch to using hunspell instead? I can check with the aspell maintainer in Fedora, but it seems to me that hunspell is actively developed while aspell is dead.

Or maybe even better - resolving issue 8291 could resolve this one too.

Please let us know the story with aspell vs hunspell.. (facts, not some maintainers thoughts).. if aspell is dead, we should switch, as long as we then don't inherit a whole bunch of otherwise unused libs.
