Summary0008816: Zoom level cannot go below 10%
DescriptionScribus doesn't support zoom levels smaller than 10%. This limit should be removed to support the full viewing of large layouts (e.g. a very large banner) in a single screen.
Steps To Reproduce1. Open or create a new document
2. In the zoom level input box at the screen bottom, enter any number below 10%
Additional InformationOne artwork which I ran into problems with was a 18ft x 4ft banner. In the end, I had to design it entirely in Inkscape, import the SVG into Scribus, fix up the colours and re-export to PDF.

I am putting the following note only to let know the users that there is a workaround to showing up the large banners on a the scree issue. My note is not a mean to judge the reporter’s need.

In many cases when you need to design a larger banner it’s possible to create it a a ratio of the size of the banner. For instance, such large banner as 18 ft (a little less than 6 meters long) by 4 feet (a little over 1 meter high) can be designed at, say, 1:4 ratio. The banner would then be 4,5 feet X 1 foot (137 cm X 30 cm). The user would output this banner at 400 %. You need to make sure the resolution of your images will be set accordingly. Many digital printing shops will accept such files and will enlarge it at ouput.

On the issue itself: if you don’t need to enlarge the view of the layout, then why enlarge it?

It's really a lot more convenient to work in actual dimensions. In setting page frame positions and dimensions, or making measurements in general, you would not need to manually adjust/compensate for the scaling step. We shouldn't be constraining the user unless there are page size limits built into PDFs or most PDF processing software. But even if such limitations do exist, the layout could be scaled down at the exporting stage.

I don't quite understand what you meant by 'enlarging the view'. This issue is about zooming out and getting an entire page to fit into a single screen.

I've lowered the limit to 1% in 1.5.0svn, this gives you an imageable area of 81000 x 67800 pts = ~ 28.5 x 23.9 m on an normal (1280 x 1024 px) monitor.

This should be enough for almost all use case, as the maximum page size in a pdf is 14000 x 14000 pts without special tricks.

Excellent. I am working with a 1280x1024 display.

Could this change be worked into 1.3.6svn as well?
