while doing all the screenshots i thought of two things: - we don't need only one single way... but we should stay consistent - we could try to standardize the whole set [add] [edit] [move] [delete] |

I see different visual types of deletions. 1. single icon on a button / toolbar 2. plain text on a button / menu 3. cursors Often used symbols are: - minus - trash bin - eraser - X-symbol In my opinion a plus for adding and a minus for deletion makes in most cases sense. Nonetheless it is possible to add an additional context symbol, like seen in cursor for gradient editor. But plus and minus is also in use for zoom-in and zoom-out. |
