Summary | 0010213: horizontal scroll sometimes not there for main window
Description | Sometime the main working pages, allthough small (for ex only 20%) of viewpane size, cannot be moved horizontally since there is no horizontal scrollbar. One has to move around other windows so as to be able to work on the desired frames. But at some other time, these horz scrolls are there and it is possible to move the working page left and right instead of moving all other windows.
Steps To Reproduce | Create document Unzoom to 12,5 % There is no horz scrollbar
Additional Information | I dunno when the scrollbar happens to appear

i agree: it can disturbing, most of all if you have the properties palette floating at a "fixed" place and it covers the wrong part of the page... |

I now have Sribus full screen editing a 100% zoomed document. There is free space on the right, and some on the left, but i cannot scroll horizontaly. The space on the left is 3,5cm wide, too small to host a palette, but if i could have scrolled, it would have enabled a wider space on the right and more display abilities + more comfort in reading palettes. |
|
I also vote for this. I have a 1920x1080 monitor, and if I edit a A4 document (one page), with for example 100% zoom, it is only on the left side of the screen. But I would rather like to have the document in the middle of the screen. Currently, I must always look at the left of the screen and turn my head, even though I naturally look at the middle of it. It would be better if I could adjust the position of the page horizontally, even if the whole page width is displayed. |
|
A simple change of values in "Document Setup -> Display -> Scratch Space" left and right would do the trick. Just add to the default of 100pt (In my case 1000pt seems ok) Is there a special reason why it is not yet fixed? Not even being able to scroll properly makes a really poor impression. |

sometimes, this would be so nice... |
