Summary | 0010432: Selecting object after having edited another one and having changed page using arrow keys
Description | On a freshly compiled 1.4 : - open a multiple page document. Each page has frames. Frames do not need to be linked texts for this problem to arise : problem is same with normal texts or images. - edit one of the frame. Then edit another one that is allready on screen (no scroll nor page change). There is no problem. - edit one frame. Scroll using scrollbar. Edit another frame. There is no problem neither. BUT : - edit one frame. Move to an other part of the document using the arrows 'prev' or 'next', or the 'select page' menu at the bottom of scribus window. Click frame or double click on frame : nothing happens. Scribus is lost but not hanged. I have found 2 misfits ways to regain control of scribus and selecting an object : - shift Click + lasso over the object. A wrong selection appears, including all objects on all pages of document (as described in 0010237) - select page + select object in Outline window A way to avoid this problem is to unselect the edited object before changing the page.

A way to avoid this problem is to unselect the edited object before changing the page. |
|
And how does one "unselect" an edited object? My only thought is to click on another editable object to change the focus. |
|
Well its ok to unselect an other object on the same page, but it wont help if you wanna jump to another page. So its possible to unselect an object in clicking the background empty page, or the grey area outside the page. |

Same on today 1.5svn |
