Summary | 0011627: "Return" action when editing property
Description | When editing some value in the PP, for example vertical space between lines of text, all keyboard actions act on the input field : keystroke enable to edit the value. BUT ONE key does NOT impact the input field : the return key. Instead of validating the input, it does impact the active text zone. That is very unfriendly because all keystrokes act on the input field... except that one. As a result i keep adding unwanted returns in my textes... I dont see any reason for this specific behaviour of the return key in such circumstances. Return key should befave as does TAB key : validating the input field and updating the display. Whether focus should stay there or go to next field i dont know. IMO keeping the focus to the same field would be better enable to check more easily various values.

AMOF, return DOES impacts the input field, since value is recorded and display is updated, but it impacts ALSO the text frame TOO : THAT should be avoided. |
|
AMOF, many other input fields also suffer this behaviour : name of item, X, Y, W, H, rounded corner size, size of text, etc |
