Reproduced with 1.5.0.svn (19309). Happens when the Default Paragraph Style is not imported with the other 3 Styles.

As for me, i reproduce too when only the DameBlanche char and par styles are imported and none of the other styles.

I can't exactly reproduce. I am finding other anomalies but I need to inspect further.

yes I reproduce with very recent released 1.5.2

As Firash points it : DameBlanche style définition has a a parent Paragraph Style that is NOT imported. Since it refers to it, its imported version is illformed.

Either Scribus should not accept to import styles that depend on another style that is not imported...
Or scribus should first copy the not-overwriten parent's properties into the imported child, so the child can be faithfully imported on its own.

That's an issue.
But i dont see how it relates to white squares being displayed...

Actually I can reproduce. I think I added an extra step last time that must of skewed the issue. I've uploaded a screencast showing the phenomena exists.
