dogil, do you have a sample doc to share with us? It would help confirming and fixing the issue. If you don't want to keep the file publicly accessible, I can set the view status to private so only developers can access to it. Thanks! |

It is pretty straight forward to crash Scribus with the provided document. Scribus Version 1.5.0.svn 09 September 2014 Build ID: C-C-T-F-C1.13.1-64bit Using Ghostscript version 9.10 |
Cannot reproduce on OSX 10.9.5 Scribus 1.5svn r19768 Qt5.4 Ghostscript v9.15 |
dogii, bump |
have you looked at the document and followed the instruction? Still crashes for me with the latest nightly. (signal 6) |
Kunda, are you really willing to fix this bug? If not, I suggest you un-assign it ;) |
Christoph_s, :P Actually this is bug in MantisBT that sometimes happens when one changes the status or closes a bug and in the process intentionally unassigns themselves (in the dropdown) but the bug is saved still attributed to the person whom closed it. |
dogil, sorry to be annoying, but can you make a screencast showing how to execute the bug? I can't recreate on OSX 10.9.5 Scribus 1.5svn r19972 Qt5.4 Ghostscript v9.15 |
dogil, I tried to reproduce your bug report in every possible way on OpenSUSE and Fedora -- no luck. I suggest you file a bug with the Mint development team. |

Uploaded video file. the last step was a simple right click with the mouse on the text in the story editor. Tried it with MATE and Cinnamon, same behaviour. 1.5.0.svn 18 March 2015 Build ID: C-C-T-F-C1.13.1-64bit Using Ghostscript version 9.10 |
It might have something to do with the fonts used.. no crash here on OSX.. |
Yea..confirmed not reproducible on OSX |
dogil, can you try on a separate machine without any of the extra fonts you've installed ? |
Dogil, can you upload the fonts used in that document ? |
just realized it also works with a completely empty new document. Will try to remove all fonts and see if that does it and see if i can narrow it down to one font culprit. |
ping dogil |
Kunda, could you help me with http://bugs.scribus.net/view.php?id=13054 then I can test it on a new system. |
Just tried on a fresh Ubuntu 15.04 the 1.5.1 version and the crash is now gone (or a conflicting font is not installed on the new system). I recon though that it has been fixed. Kudos to the Scribus team. Please close the bug. |
Linked 0012985 because crash /maybe/ caused by buggy font. Closing issue as it is fixed in 1.5.1 |
