| Summary | 0013412: Import Word file through html | ||||
| Description | To import word file, I use to open it with OpenOffice then I save it under html file. It is a way to preserve note calls and note texts. I need to get normal and Italic words in my publication. With Scribus 1.4. it was OK, but I had problem with .ps file. I tried to use 1.5. then OK for .ps file, but unfortunetly I loosed italics words. It is strange that import of file including bold italic word is OK in 1.4. and 1.5. I have also some space loosed after after note' call. In this case after the 1 : Rossiïa1qui | ||||
| Additional Information | In 1.5. import is made with "windows 1252" page code, in 1.4. only "system" | ||||

I cannot reproduce what you describe. Both 1.4.x and 1.5.0 asks me what font should be used for italic, bold, and bold italic styles. Check in preferences > fonts that you have not unwanted font substitutions. |
Many thanks, that is clear in preferences. Italic went to Normal. |
Nantucket, 'Italics went to Normal' ? Does this means you were able to get the italics to work ? |
Kunda, my english is not so clear. I found on Scribus 1.5. after installation in my PC, I was working before with 1.4. preference>fonts>Substitution Police name : Italic Substitution:Times New Roman Regular That is the reason why when my file came in 1.5. with some Italic words, I found only Regular words. On 1.4. bold an italic arrive in my Scribus. |
