Summary | 0013623: Drop Shadows: distinguish for text and for images/text frames
Description | In 1.5.0 the Drop Shadows make a shadow round an image or text frame. In 1.5.1 the Drop Shadow is for the text itself. But this is imho something for the text properties.
Additional Information | Don't delete the shadows for text - I like it, I need it ;-) But please split it up. My suggestion is an extra point in text. Colour & Effects - Shadow - First Line Offset... The extra point is necessary because of the many possibilities (X-offset, Y-offset, Blur...) But as a good news you could delete shadowed text from colours and effects as it is the same as shadow blur 0 ;-) To sort it right would also help Martin with IndigoDock, I guess.

I just found out that the drop shadow is around the frame if in PP - colours there is a fill colour. If the fill colour is none, the shadow is around the letters. That's clever, but imho not very intuitive ;-) |

Can you propose a mockup? Perhaps Franz will be inspired by this ? |

Sorry for the delay - thought about it and the current solution is good. Only documentation is missing. (For the inofficial German Wiki I made it - if anyone is interested in translating for the official Wiki: https://wiki.scribus-user.de/einfuehrung:schlagschatten) |
