Summary | 0013929: TTF Font: subset cannot be deactivated and therefore cannot be embedded
Description | I have one TTF Font out of a family of five fonts where I cannot uncheck the "subset" marker, see screenshot. As a consequence, Scribus does not embed the font in the PDF file, the text looks somehow ugly. The font is not listed in the PDF fonts list. Scribus 1.4.5 was different. Embedding was no problem.

This seems to affect only font files in the same folder, next to the .sla file. When the bold font is installed in Windows, subset is deactivable and embeddable. |
Unable to reproduce. Please provide document with all fonts. |
@jghali Can I send you a direct message somehow? It seems to affect only this one ttf file which is copyrighted. For file an empty 1.4.6 sla file does it. Place it next to the ttf file and start scribus via the empty document. |
When I try to set an additional path (Desktop) with the ttf file, Scribus hangs and crashes in the next startup. I had to delete the Appdata\Roaming\Scribus folder to restart again. |

In the set of fonts you sent me, the AWO Fago Office Bold font has a broken PostScript glyph name table, which is why 1.4.x will not embed it, but outline it. I tested 1.4.5, 1.4.6 and 1.4.7.svn and I do get consistent behavior across those versions. The fact that the bold font is installed on Windows does not change that behavior. If it changes the behavior on your computer, you should look if you do not have different versions of that font on your computer. |

You got the file from the same folder from where I installed it to Windows. I compared the checksums. Installed in Windows 7, the subset is deselectable and the font is embeddable, see sample pdf. |
I installed the font. But the font was still not embeddable. As mentionned in my previous note, I did not get any behavior difference depending on whether font was installed in Windows or not. |
