Summary | 0014011: Much too wide vertical toolbar
Description | Since modern screen are often much more wide then high, it's very interesting to use the width for toolbars rather than having the toolbars reduce vertical space. Scribus enables to position the toolbars on the left, and even enables to do so with 2 columns, but 2 of the widget in the toolbar doesnt fit well with the vertical orientation : "display quality choice" and "eye color tweaks" keep being large horizintal SELECTs. As a consequence, the whole toolbar becomes very wide, with lot of useless empty space.
Additional Information | see uploaded screenshot The clicked select needs this space to display its options, but the not-clicked select should not be wider as other tool buttons. The small "Open" button in the "file management" toolbar could be inspiring : when click lasts, it displays a large list of files to choose from, that displays over windows and overlaps them without enlarging the "file management" toolbar.
