Summary0014047: frames are moved
Descriptionthe same case as reported in #13967 has been reported again, this time in the german speaking forums:

http://scribus-user.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=348

should i ask the person to upload / send me the document?

(btw, it's not a usability issue, the files seems to break...)

ale, sorry but opening such issue is utterly useless:
- given how file/loading saving works, if the frames are "moved", than means they were already so when file was saved.
- if we do not have a precise way to reproduce, we will have to close this issue like previous one

we have two persons who pretend that their frames have moved without any reason.

i have seen the file from the other user and it seems to be at least possible that what the user pretends has happened.

both have / seems to have very high values for the coordinates.

in this case the user does not pretend that it has happened during save / open.

of course it is bad that we don't have any way to reproduce, but i think that we should keep track of such events.

i understand your malaise, i share it, but i don't see a better place for this ticket than the bug tracker.

Sorry again, but this issue does not add anything to what we know already. At this point this is just a duplicate of #13967. So unless there is clear steps to reproduce by tonight, I will close it as such.

as you prefer, i'm not attached sentimentally to bug reports.
this is not of mine either.
i've not been using 1.4 ages so i'm not concerned by it in any way.

and for those who want to learn more about this, there is a german forum...
(somehow the issue is also solved...)

no idea how you want to track the fact that this strange problem is happening to different people, but it's not part of my worrying about scribus.
