Summary | 0014086: Spell check fails to check selected frame on file created in earlier version
Description | I have a number of files created using 1.4.6. When trying 1.5.2 I attempt to use the spell checker. I select a text frame and then invoke the Spell Checker. It returns almost immediately saying "Spelling Check Complete" and showing German as the text language. The document is in English but I don't get to select that since the spell checker terminates upon start. Note that if the document is created in 1.5.2 the spell checker works correctly.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Open file created in prior version (I used 1.4.6) 2. Select a text frame 3. Invoke the spell checker

Please attach a sample file to this report so we can test. I assume this relates to a possible lack of paragraph or paragraph style settings in your 1.4.6 document. Once they are set it should work as it would then know the language to test with. |

|
Paragraph styles are extensively used, perhaps incorrectly. |

Observations: 1) When I run spell check on a text frame I see the following in the console: error: line 2552: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 2560: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 2658: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 2684: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 2822: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 2922: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 3452: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 3708: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 4082: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 4132: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 4314: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 4360: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 5110: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 5440: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 5826: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 5888: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 6090: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 6140: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 6218: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 6308: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 6479: multiple definitions of an affix flag error: line 6752: multiple definitions of an affix flag 2) Running Spell check will bring up Aari as the default check spelling language 3) Spell check will cycle through every word which is odd. 4) I can't reproduce OPs "Spelling Check Complete" issue. I've attached a screencast 10.10.5 1.5.3svn r21345 |
