Summary0001441: Support printing of PostScript errors
DescriptionMany DTP programs support including code in their print jobs to tell the printer to print out any PostScript errors it may encounter. This can help immensely with troubleshooting, as jobs fail with a useful error instead of simply vanish.

Some PostScript printers permit the user to enable this themselves on the printer console, but that's global, resulting in undesired error printouts. In particular, some apps generate consistently bad PostScript that causes an error at the end of the job but prints anyway. One generally doesn't want to get reams of error printouts from these (yes, broken) apps.

It might be useful to have this facility in Scribus.

Should be possible to cook something up by redefining 'handleerror' in the errordict.

What kind of information is wanted?

Same as in http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?hexID=5396 ?
(errormessage, offending command, stacks, 10 lines of file, jobname)

avox, what you suggest sounds sensible.
