Summary0014736: "All" color rendering
DescriptionWhen "All" color is used,
- scribus displays it as white in the color combobox and in the document edit and preview window
- in exported PDF, it looks white on Ubuntu Linux using Evince or Okular,
- on my HP printer on Ubuntu the exported PDF prints it as white
- but printer's prepress guy says it looks black with Acrobat Pro (i dont know whether Windows or Mac)
- printer's prepress guy says it would be printed as black by the printer's RIP

This is probably not a well suited behaviour

The "All" color is not a color defined by Scribus. How did you get it?

Printer's prepress guy told me (not very precisely) that this color was used for "cropmarks and other parts". Doesnt scribus use it for cropmarks ?

I dont know exactly how i got it : it could also have been imported with a SVG or PDF file.

AFAICT It's not the first time i have an issue with the (unintentionnal and bad) use of that "All" color.

I upload simplified doc with it.

All.sla (33,666 bytes)

The "All" color is the Postscript/PDF name of registration color. So yes, Scribus use it for crop marks and this is expected. So my guess is that you got this color in Scribus by importing a PDF or EPS file, unlikely by importing a SVG.

I patched PS/PDF importer so that "All" color be mapped to Scribus registration color. If a document contains the "All" color, the color properties of that color will also be set as to reflect special behavior of "All color" in PS/PDF.
