Summary0015243: Overline support is missing
DescriptionI can't find a way to overline text. Overline is used widely in many cases and for traditional Arabic text, overline is used instead over underline as in Holy Quran. Most DTP programs and even Word Processors (e.g LibreOffice) supports different styles of overlining.

This feature isn't widely used, so you won't find it in the default toolbar in LibreOffice; instead, you'll find it in the Format menu.
Similarly, it's not visible in Adobe InDesign. As far as I know, you can achieve this in InDesign by adjusting the offset options after enabling underline or strike-out option.
In Scribus, you can achieve this in the same way as in Adobe InDesign, but only after enabling strike-out format option and changing the displacement value.

This is a great workaround, but Scribus should aim for semantic precision. Strikethrough is logically distinct from an overline; just as we don't "hack" an underline, an overline shouldn't require an offset'ed strikethrough. The offset parameter should be for fine-tuning, not for defining the function itself. Following the standards of CSS (`text-decoration-line`) and modern DTP tools like Typst (`#overline`, `#underline`, `#strike`) would make the workflow more intuitive and robust.

Since the rendering logic already exists, adding a dedicated UI button and following the standards of CSS (`text-decoration-line`) and modern DTP tools like Typst (`#overline`, `#underline`, `#strike`) would be an easy but significant improvement for an intuitive, professional workflow.
