Summary | 0016645: Text using alternate-form glyphs cannot be copied from PDF |
---|
Description | When a URL is included in a Scribus document, it is created as a clickable link in a PDF export. Where the URL includes a digit styled using an alternate form (eg as a lining figure), that character is used in the URL, rather than the "base" ASCII digit it is styled from. This causes the URL to fail. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Create a document containing a URL or email address using alternate form characters. Export the document to PDF. The embedded link in the PDF file will contain invalid characters. |
---|
Additional Information | Ligatures in email addresses (for example, in the word "field") are handled correctly, although alternate figures are not. Small caps in URLs also produce the problem; a small-cap "http" isn't recognised as a URL. |
