Summary0016652: PDF export dialog: Rename "memory" to "RAM"
DescriptionWhen I first read the description of the "Maximum Image resolution" setting in the PDF export dialog I could not wrap my head around why limiting the resolution would increase the - seemingly - file size. I can only guess it refers to RAM and more RAM is needed to calculate the file, but the file, in fact, will require LESS memory. The term memory is ambiguous, possibly referring to disk space.

Additional InformationI searched if there is a better place to post about this. I only found Transifex, but it seems not the right place to edit the source language?

@Phoenix_IV there's https://gitlab.com/scribus/scribus you can git clone that, make changes to the file, generate a patch and then upload it to this ticket.

the tooltip is about memory (RAM) usage while creating the pdf (since scribus has to read, transform and save the images).

feel free to propose a new text with RAM in it.

personally, a new text is ok, but i have not the feeling that the current one is really that unclear.
(sadly, if one understands that it's about the storage space, it's likely that they are not wrong either: scribus is not that good at optimizing the file size, when it resizes the images...)

Agree with Ale here, the current tooltip is fine. Clarifying it further would extend it, and duplicate the context of export in the text.
