Summary | 0016657: Short Words Plug-in is not able to add non-breaking spaces between certain words
Description | Short Words Plugin in Scribus 1.5.6.1 was not able to add non-breaking spaces between words.
Steps To Reproduce | 1.Add a text frame, type two words (one is common word while another is the abbreviation attached to the word) to add non-breaking space between them,e.g. 'Mr.Wilson'. 2.Go to Short Words Plugin, choose either one option to apply changes to the text frame, then choose specific language as the same as the language of the text in the text frame is in,nothing happened.(the result I expected is a non-breaking space add between two words)
Additional Information | Environment: Windows 8 in Chinese and Scribus' user interface is in Chinese language.

I made some test with French language, seems to work as expected. You should check your text language is supported in Short Words preferences (File > Preferences > Short Words). Currently Short Words plugin supports English, Czech, Danish, German, Estonian, French, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese (Brasil), Slovak, and Russian. Otherwise you should add the necessary shortwords definition for your language in Short Words preferences. |
