Summary | 0017172: ZWSP (zero-width space) is no longer recognized for word-wrap.
Description | ZWSP (zero-width space) is no longer recognized for word-wrap. It is used in langages like Lao or Thai with do not separate words with a visible space to indidate word break. It is encoded as <zwspace/> in the Scribus source file. Some system can use an algorithm based on the font or a dictionary to do proper word-wrap in Lao or Thai. But it is not always safe, and as for the Lao script, there are existing tools to include these ZWSP marks in the text before importing it into a DPS like Scribus. I remember having used ZWSP successfully in previous Scribus version, but unfortunately it does no longer work.
Additional Information | Insert a text without spaces or with too few spaces with ZWSP marks into a text frame Words do not wrap as expected
