Summary | 0017311: Guide Manager: Column/Row guides (Refer to Selection) only works when selected object is not touching the left side of the page.
Description | I created a rectangular shape at the left upper corner with width=100 and height=30. Then I opened the Guide Manager, selected the object and entered 4 for vertical guides. The guides are always in reference to the whole page, and not to the selected object. Only when I move the object at least by 0,177 (!) mm away from the side, the guides are correctly referenced to the object.

just tested on my system (mac os 15.1, scribus 1.6.2, 1.6.3.svn-r26334 and 1.7.0.svn-r26264) 'refer to selection' works after i open and close 'file' → 'document setup'. i have to open it for every file and for every session. i can confirm the issue wit selections that touch the left edge of the page in 1.6.2 and 1.6.3.svn-r26334 (guides will take the full page as reference.) but with scribus 1.7.0.svn-r26264 vertical guides work flawless. in the three tested versions the horizontal guides won't refer to the selection, if it touches the top border of the page. in this case, the reference will be the page. |
