>> Guides created in reference to an object Scribus does not have this capability. What made you think it has ? The "Refer to Selection" option is permanently disabled here as far as I can see. And it is "Refer to Selection", not "Refer to Object". |

@jghali: It is possible to enable selection based measurement for guides - you need to trigger void GuideManager::setupGui() to get it enabled. Eg Change unit of measure |

just tested on my system (mac os 15.1, scribus 1.6.2, 1.6.3.svn-r26334 and 1.7.0.svn-r26264) 'refer to selection' works after i open and close 'file' → 'document setup'. i have to open it for every file and for every session. |
