duplicate of | 0012464 | new | Preview mode should always be in "Edit preview" mode |

the idea was that scribus should be usable as a power point ersatz. it was a bad idea and i guess that nobody ever used scribus in that way. (except for the person who did push for that feature and who was using it for showing 3D items in his demos of scribus. not sure if anybody ever used the feature in production). "real" scribus users already requested multiple times the change to be reverted or, at least, to have the editable mode as an (at least optional) default. currently, theoretically, all you can do is to activate the "edit in preview mode" button but: - it does not seem to work - you have to press it each time you activate the preview mode. |
|
Thanks for answer never thought to use scribus as power point, nope but to preview the pages, yes I couldn't find the "edit in preview mode" button, though could you kindly indicate where it's hidden ? David |

please ask for support in https://forums.scribus.net/ or in the matrix chat https://matrix.to/#/#scribus-general-chat:matrix.org or in any other support "channel" : - ) |

Thanks for directing to matrix or support but the only references are to describe same issue, not solution small last minute changes are easily done in that mode, I confirm the feature misses now Cheers David |
