Summary0017512: Accessibility Support: PDF/UA
DescriptionIn many countries, PDFs published by public institutions – or even companies – are nowadays legally required to fulfill accessibility standards, such as the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)". It would be very desirable to have the possibility to export scribus files as PDF/UA, and to be able to set suitable attributes to make use of this standard's capabilities.

While Scribus seems to be primarily made for print products, nowadays it is quite common that such print products are also offered also as online versions. This makes accessibility a big concern also for a large number of publishers who create magazines, newsletters or other print products for public institutions, companies etc. Many of us would love to be able to use (or continue using) Scribus, but lack of support for PDF/UA is, unfortunately, a strong argument against.

(Please excuse if this or a similar feature request already exists – I did a few searches but was unable to find something matching)
