Summary0017703: Transparency fails on import of Scribus generated PDF
DescriptionIn an effort to create four-up artwork for printing, I generated a PDF from a Scribus document which had drop shadows on a number of the text objects and placed it in a Scribus document. The transparency failed with whatever combination of PDF setting I tried.
Steps To ReproduceGenerate a PDF in Scribus. Import it into Scribus. Generate print ready PDF.

@FrederickYocum they all look fine and issue-less -- that would contradict the issue.

@JLuc From where I’m sitting — the first PDF, DropShadow, functions as designed with transparency and shadow. When it is imported into another Scribus, DropShadowFourUp, The drop shadow / transparency shows up as a black rectangle. This is what I see visually and what is printed out when printed on to different desktop printers. Are you experiencing something different?

@FrederickYocum On Ubuntu 24.04 with Evince or Okular, they look fine, without black rectangle. Same when opened in Gimp or inserted in LibreOffice writer.
