Summary0017709: Thousands of "masks" boxes appear in PDF, on each vectorized letter
DescriptionWhen a document is exported to a PDF with all fonts being vectorized, it seems an empty rectangle is added for each letter.

Usualy that's not an issue but when on a 64 pages documents, it leads to printshop's software crash or bug : weird letter colors random changes on coloured text. Adobe Acrobat or some RIP software, i guess due to a missing memory issue. Spliting the PDF in parts solves the issue.

Additional InformationSee screenshots
- "outline mode" screenshot displaying the boxes "masks" around each letter (= this issue)
- sample of random color scrambles as seen in the RIPed PDF

With the current development version, I have exported a .sla to pdf, while outlining all fonts.

Of course, every char is an outline, but I did not get those boxes.

Do you get the issue also with the development version?
If yes, would you mind sharing a sample .sla with the font file, and exact steps for reproducing?

Scribus does not use any form of mask or image when exporting glyphs as outlines, either in 1.6.x or trunk. So the mention of images and masks by your printer is rather surprising... It feels like the PDF has been preprocessed by some software...
