| Summary | 0017718: Text Frame background opacity/gradient does not export into pdf's | ||||
| Description | The whole point of Scribus is for independent publishing yet it is unable to export text frame formatting to pdf's which is a basic need and function. Why is it an option in the canvas at all if we can't export it? It makes no sense and seems like it was just overlooked. When you export it, it just makes a solid color block behind your text and ignores the background you created. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | In a text frame, select Properties, and Fill. Select a color, chooses gradient, and then adjust the opacity. | ||||

i can't reproduce the issue. at least on mac os scribus exports the colored background with the defined gradient and the transparency. (if you export it as a .pdf 1.3 the transparency is lost. but this is expected as scribus doesn't flatten transparencies and .pdf 13 doesn't support them.) |
