Summary0017728: Ctrl-I from an image frame does not display JPEG files for selecting
DescriptionA JPEG can be loaded by typing its name into the "File name" box of the "Open" dialog, or by dragging and dropping it from file manager. But it cannot be selected in the "Open" dialog because no JPEG images are shown unless "Files of type" is changed from "All Supported Formats" to "All files".
Steps To Reproduce1. Have available a directory including a JPEG image (and also, if possible, a PNG or BMP image)

2. Open a new Scribus document and draw an Image frame.

3. Use Ctrl-I (or "Content", "Get Image"); navigate the resulting "Open" dialog to the directory where your JPEG resides.

4. Note that your JPEG file is not shown for selecting. If you have PNG's or BMP's in there too, observe that they /are/ shown.

5. Change "Files of Type" to "All files" (which pull-down is curiously formatted BTW); now your JPEG will appear.
Additional InformationThis is an exact duplicate of 0017199 which was closed "Cannot reproduce". It happens all the time for me, both on 1.7.1svn and now 1.7.2

Well, that's very odd. This is a Flatpak, freshly downloaded today, and installed after deleting the old (1.7.1svn) Flatpak. Could it be that something is different between the "native" code and the Flatpak?

What can I do to help diagnose this?

The flatpak is not generated by Scribus team so you should address issues related to the flatpak to the flatpak creators themselves. And yes there are differences between native code and flatpaks. Flatpaks have some restrictions to what they can do/change on the host computer.

I tried flatpak (first time), and it has the issue stated by @henrylaw.

You don't see a single jpeg until you choose "All files" at the bottom of the image dialog.

Flatpak looks and works better than AppImage (so far). I request official focus on flatpak.
