Summary0017738: Improve File Picker Default Paths
DescriptionDear Scribus Developers,

I have observed this behavior with many versions of Scribus, and it persists with the latest development version.

Scribus always uses the current user's document folder to open and save SLA files.
When opening/converting a PDF in Scribus and then saving it, the Windows SYSTEM32 folder is always displayed.
It would be good if Scribus used the path of the opened file as the default path for the File Picker (for opening, saving as, and exporting as PDF).
If other files are open, Scribus should always display the folder of the last opened file in the Open File Picker.

Open File Picker = path of the last opened file (variable is overwritten when opening a file).
Save File Picker = path of the currently displayed file.
Export PDF File Picker = Original path of the SLA or converted PDF file.

This would make working with Scribus easier, as you always have to copy the path from Windows Explorer and paste it into the Scribus File Picker.

if you press the back button the current directory changes to the one with the document.

i guess that it's a Qt "feature" : - )

this having been said, personally, I prefer the exported PDFs to go always go to the same export folder, not to the place where the project is...
but it's not a big issue, since it mostly is /tmp/ so it's easy to change on the first export.

Thanks for the info, I didn´t knew that feature of Qt!
While it works for SLA files, it´s not working for PDFs opened by Scribus. It always shows the C:\Windows\System32 folder when trying to save the PDF as SLA.
When exporting an PDF that has been imported beforehand, but not saves as SLA, the path in the export to PDF dialogue shows ".\Sample_Artwork.pdf" as the full path which is not working on Windows OS. Trying to save returns an error.
You first have to save the SLA and then export the PDF.

By the way, I noticed the export dialogue is using the native OS file picker instead of the Qt file picker. Maybe that´s something that can be changed in the future. Not sure how it´s handled in other OS than Windows.
