| Summary | 0017743: Manage Masterpages does not automatically open during editing | ||||
| Description | In Scribus 1.6.5, whenever you entered the "Edit Master Pages" window, it would automatically bring up the list of master pages so you could toggle through them and edit them. In 1.7.2, this menu to toggle through master pages has been combined with the "Arrange Pages" palette, which would be fine except that it does not pop up automatically when you open the edit menu. The user has to know to have Arrange Pages open, or to additionally go to Windows > Manage Master Pages. I don't usually keep Arrange Pages open and it's a hassle to have to open a menu that used to be automatically available. Further, I'm having a bug where if I close the Arrange Pages palette I cannot get it to reappear by any means except closing Scribus and relaunching. Clicking on the Arrange Pages/Manage Master Page button in Windows does not launch it, not even after closing the file and reopening. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Manage Masterpages not automatically available: - Do not have the Arrange Pages palette open - Go to Edit > Master Pages No palette pops up to show the master pages as a experienced user would expect Arrange Pages palette cannot be reopened after closing: - Open Arrange Pages (or Manage Master Pages) - Click the close button to close the palette - Attempt to launch it again using Windows > Arrange Pages Palette does not reappear unless I close out of Scribus entirely and restart | ||||
| Additional Information | I'm using the 1.7.2 appimage to text. | ||||
