| Summary | 0017821: Tables: Pressing TAB on the last cell should expand table with border | ||||
| Description | Now, it does create a new row below which is visible (cyan corners) and the overflow icon appears in the corner, but the current table border is not applied to it. The new row is not visibly a part of the table, if you will. See screenshot. It is only when you hover over any border of the table (any border) and drag in any direction that the border is applied to that row. | ||||

Thanks a ton for the quick fix, MrB. I would like to add a few things. Kindly notice. Here is what I think (and have observed in LibreOffice): 1. In LO, TAB adds a new row at the end extending the height of the table equal to the height of the last row. Scribus on the other hand keeps the table height intact and adds a new row thus forcing the existing rows to shrink. (Keep TAB pressed for a few secs in both Scribus and LO). LO way makes more sense imho. 2. Shrinking the row too narrow (or a tiny table to begin with) in Scribus causes the cursor to show too large (see screenshot below, the cursor is in the second last row actually). LO does not allow shrinking row height after a limit thus no such issue. I tried small font size but the cursor stays the same size in Scribus. 3. Columns in both programs follow the same idea: no change in table width while adding new columns. Makes sense, imho. |

I changed it so inserting rows or columns in the last one, or tab in the last cell adds a row/column and expands the table. That matches your 1. I have changed 3 to not follow LO process and add at the end though, but matches Word. The cursor issue - for another bug, please. |

Yes. I just tested, MrB. It works great. Moreover, I filed a fresh report for the cursor issue. Feel free to close this one. Thanks again. |
