Summary0017857: docChanged(1) setRedraw(True) redrawAll() dont refresh display after columns # change
DescriptionAfter `setColumns(1)` changing the number of columns in a text frame,

- calling all 3 : `docChanged(1) setRedraw(True) redrawAll()`

doesnt force the refresh of the screen.

- inserting before these lines a width change :
```
theframe = scribus.getSelectedObject(0)
width, height = scribus.getSize(theframe)
scribus.sizeObject(width + 10, height, theframe)
scribus.sizeObject(width, height, theframe)
```
does refresh the display

For your information: docChanged() and setRedraw() have probably nothing to do with forcing a redraw on screen.

 In the current Scribus development version, scribus.setColumns(2) does refresh the display. Without the need to call any other functions.

I think that we can close this as "resolved".

(p.s.: tested in both the console and by running a script in a Python file)

 Thanks for testing ale.
I got 1.7.3 appimage and tested `scribus.setColumns(2)` in the scripter console and could see that the number of column is refreshed, but not the text layout :
- the guideline positions are updated
- not the text layout

Going from 3 columns to 2 colums : text is still in "3 columns layout" :
