Summary0002697: "collect for output" should change picture-paths to the archive output path
DescriptionThe "collect for output" feature collects all external files including the project file itself into an archive directory folder.

It is not possible to e.g. burn this folder on a CD and open the projectfile on another computer, because it doesnt find the files.

I.m.h.o. the "collect for output" should also make a copy of the project-file with changed picture-directory information. It should simply remove the path-informations, so it would be possible to open the file in the archive-directory without restoring the files at their old locations.
Steps To Reproduceuse "collect for output", temporary change the original picture-folder-name (e.g. pictures to pictures1), try to open the scribus-project-file from the archive folder.

It should be fixed in 1.3cvs tree. Yes, yet another stupid bug again. I like the frank's relative path RFE (no full path in image internal structure) *but* it's quite large change so I need your help with testing, please. It can affect a lot of things so try to break it... The fresh 1.3 CVS tree should be available for public at night.

BTW I cannot reproduce this behaviour in 1.2 serie (as it's completely rewritten in 1.3x).

Image paths are not touched and thus images wont's show up when opening a document that was earlier collected for output

I've just tested in with 1.3.3.1 on win32 and it doesn't work at all:

-- the original path of the image is eg "../Eigene Dateien/download/image.png"

-- I collected for output into "C:/Dokumente und Einstellungen/ham/tmp/"

-- Opened the "collected" .sla file in a text editor: the image path is PFILE="../Eigene Dateien/download/image.png"

This is a major issue, I've just experienced how worrying it is while trying to help on 0003716

I agree this is major as there is no elegant workaround, imo.

Here's one:

<quote> [from "Le Tigre" on the ML] The most sure way is to open the .sla file in a text editor and change the links to images (you'll keep all the properties of the images: the scale, the position within the frame, etc.)</quote>

1.3.4cvs works fine now, 1.3.3cvs needs fixing yet (PFILE="../image.png")

it's in 1.3.4cvs only. I'm not sure what will be the future of 1.3.3.x do I leave it as is (due my famous lazyness)

subik: issue 0003748 makes a 1.3.3.2 release quite probable, so if you can push this patch in 1.3.3.x i'm not against it

Jean, I'm afraid I'm next 4 days without any CVS access. So I need at least 5 days to promote this one (and one for scripter) into 133x
