Summary | 0004516: Page borders when printing a page smaller than actual printer supported page
Description | I would like an option to print page borders (they should occur outside the current page area) when I print a page whose size in Scribus is, e.g., B5 on a A4 sheet, so I can: - compose the page in Scribus easily (I won't need to manually set up special guides and margins) - cut the extra margin in the A4 sheet. The borders should be drawn outside the current Scribus page, so that they won't be printed if the page size in Scribus matches the printer page size. Additionally, there could be options to select border thickness and line styles etc.

Do crop marks as introduced in 1.3.4 fulfill your needs? |
|
Sorry for taking so much time. Yes, that's exactly what I was talking about. I have yet another request: the crop marks feature prints marks for cutting at the page angles, but when I start cutting an edge with a scissor, I lose half of the references. I noticed this also in other DTP solutions, so it may be standard. I think it would be nice if there was an option to draw entire cutting marks (maybe dotted) along the whole edges of the page. |
