Summary | 0006223: Add page agnostic pasteboard area to displayed page area
Description | Pagemaker has/had a nice feature that I found invaluable. WHen you would drag an element (text frame, image frame, etc.) completely off of the "Paper" for a document, it was attached to a pasteboard area that was visible for all pages. I found this to be a great time saver for moving elements between pages when text reflowed or copy elements to multiple pages that weren't appropriate for a master page.

on the one side, the scrapbook has a tab with the copied item. so, in scribus you can ctrl-x an item, have it show up in the list of copied items and you can the drop to any page. on the other side, in scribus the space around the page belongs to a page. currently, scribus users seem to sometime be using that space to store items that are not in use on that specific page, but don't want to delete (yet). i'm for closing this ticket without any change to the status quo. |
