I'm not really sure I understand the appeal of this one. Can you explain what you view it as useful for? I *do* think it'd be useful to be able to create a new file with a precreated text frame by dropping a text file onto the main window, though. If we support that, we may as well support dropping an existing PageItem too. |

Scribus documents normally fill the Scribus application area: for most users it won't be handy / possible to drag anything into the "main window". On the other side, it's even easier to simply copy the text frame(s), ctrl-n, ctrl-v ... If nobody can see a real use for this action that is not really discoverable, i suggest to close this ticket. |
