Summary | 0006570: magnetic snaping imprecise
Description | When magnetic snaping is set on, you can "feel" you're glued to what you have to, but the precision of the "landing" is not perfect. If you play with a frame close to snapping edge, looking at 200% you'll see you can be locked on the right place or a few pixel too short or to far from it. (No relationship to previous but i love the softness of the resistance, you don't have to battle anymore against the magnet like in 1.3.4 :-))

I don't know if it 's related, but when magnetic snaping is set on, i've noticed that some objects (frame) escape to the magnetic field. I'll look further to explain better and send a sla when i sure i can reproduce this. I suppose it is not a feature (that i would be missing how to handle) to select when an object has to be magnetic sensitive or not. |
|
Ok my last note has now been described in a new bug report 6892 (solved now). I don't think it's related with this one directly. |
|
I can confirm the bug. When I drag a frame to the margin guide ("snap to guide" enabled), the frame often snaps at a place 0.353 mm (1.000 pt) left, right, above or below the guide. (Scribus 1.3.5svn, 03 Mar 2008, C-C-T-F-C1.4.14, Linux/openSUSE 10.3) |

Could someone test this one again? r12728 seems to have fixed that issue. |

Cool! Thanks for testing! |
