Summary | 0006744: Scribus crasches during exporting to PDF
Description | Hi, I am just preparing some a0 poster using scribus. I decided to add there quite big png file as a background, but but unfortunately when I do that it is not possible to export the file to pdf. The file is quite big, therefore uploaded both, the scribus file and png file on my webserwer, where it can be downloaded from.
Steps To Reproduce | Download file http://piti.exroot.org/scribus-pdfexport-bug.rar, open the existing there scribus file and try to export to pdf using 1.4 pdf version.

Duplicate of issue 0004189. Memory management in 133x is simply not able to handle big images, more than 200MB uncompressed in your case. This is being fixed progressively in development versions (134/135+). 135svn is still not able to export that file to PDF on a 1Gb memory laptop, but the crash is avoided. Keeping your file as a (nice) test case. |
