Summary0007111: HSV/HSL/HSB colour specifer would improve usability for 'spot' color creation (Edit Color dialogue)
DescriptionWould the developers consider having dual sliders for CMYK or RGB, i.e.
CMYK sliders plus HSV sliders (or RGB plus HSV sliders) to specify spot colours in the appropriate colour space.
Additional InformationThe inherent interaction between the RGB or CMYK sliders makes it very difficult for the inexperienced (and even the experienced) to specify solid so-called RGB/CMYK 'spot' colours.
The out-of-gamut warning would still function and both sets of sliders would be linked, e.g. moving the HSV sliders would move the RGB/CMYK sliders, and vice-versa.
The HSV/HSB/HSL alternative is more intuitive for most people: squeeze some paint out of a tube (hue), add some white (desaturate), and then mix in some black (value).
