Summary | 0007686: [hyphenation] Words in exception list and ignore list are handled case sensitive?
Description | It looks like Scribus handles the words in the exception list and ignore list (hyphenation) in a case sensitive way. In most languages (probably in all languages) words are hyphenated in the same way, whether they start with a capital character (starting a sentence) or not...

>> In most languages (probably in all languages) words are hyphenated in the same way, whether they start with a capital character (starting a sentence) or not No as simple, see 0007245. Depends much on typographic rules specific to each language. For eg. in some language, upper-cased words should not be hyphenated. |

I agree with you that there are certain language specific rules to be aware of, but I don't think languages exist where "someword" != "Someword" with regard to hyphenation. I'd say the upper-cased words are a special case which has to be handled separately. |
