Summary | 0009373: Preconfiguring font doesn't take affect
Description | I'm not sure if this is the intended default behavior, but it is kind of confusing. When I started a new text area and set the default font parameters I wanted to use, they are ignored until after I type the text in, and then reset the parameters. I would think that when you are typing something, it should use the whatever the current font settings are, rather than starting back at the default.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. open a new document 2. create a new text frame and open the text editor 3. change the font type/size to something other than the default 4. type something in the window 5. "Update the text frame" to apply the changes Result: text displayed will be at default font/size (in my case, Arial/12 pt) rather than what I selected before I started typing.

Actually, I just tested the same thing on new text within an established frame and it had a similar result. Whatever you type goes with the font it already had, rather than what I had just selected before typing. I then have to select the text and reformat it. |
|
I can't reproduce (mainly because of 0013935 which was actually a dupe of 0013501) |
|
@PeterBenedek, please test this. Thanks! |

Linux Mint 17.3; r21172; Qt5.6 " 1. open a new document 2. create a new text frame and open the text editor 3. change the font type/size to something other than the default 4. type something in the window 5. "Update the text frame" to apply the changes " I can reproduce exactly in that order! |
