|Summary||0009601: (RFEs) wordwrap problem for Korea (and east Asia)|
|Description||Hi, I am Minsoo, Yoon from Korea.|
I found Scribus, and use it well.
But I suggest One function (RFEs) which is very inportant in Asia.
In Korea, Japan, China, Wordwrap by character is more necessary than Wordwrap by word. Otherwise, White space is so wide that Document looks so bad.
If this function is not eqipped, I am afraid that we can not layout beautiful Documents in Korea, Japan, China.
In QuarkXpress, Adobe Indesign and Inkscape, this function(by option) is supported.
Please consider my suggestion.
Thank you for good application.

Just a note to add that there is a branch of Scribus which we are working on specifically to improve display of non-Latin languages. This is also very important to us, so it will be done eventually.
||Thank you. I hope that it comes true as soon as possible.|
Yes, please. We are working with a West African language and we are having problems with the tone marks. They look like the accents on certain French vowels, but they need to go unto some more exotic vowels which are somewhere exotic on the Unicode table. Those combining-diacritics are working in LibreOffice and most everywhere in Windows but not (yet) in Scribus.
Dear plinnell, please provide a link to that branch with language empowered features. The World will love Scribus for going that way. I want to go there and shout my support.
I was considering to register a request here, but as a new user, I was first searching around for existing language issues. Thank you all for Scribus, even so far it is doing great things. Please read my writeup on the Scribus wiki under the 2012 success stories.
In OpenStreetMap the developers are always saying: "If you want it, program it." I guess the same goes here. Still, we commited users want to at least encourage the realy usefull features. Keep up the good work!
>> please provide a link to that branch with language empowered features.
Sorry but that branch is unusable in production. You would be unable to do even the most basic text editing.
Thank you jghali. I had understood you correctly, this whole site is about development. So I do not want to stress anybody. I was just curious about progress in that other branch you had mentioned and would enjoy having a look. (And to check out, wether their roadmap will help with our specific issues).
So if you can give the link, please do. And if it is confidential, I accept.
Here is the Branch that is working on Scribus Complex Text Layout
We need more test files or Korean

||@yoonminsoo can you provide some Korean test files for us ?|
